  • Make sure that an examination officer can review the policy upon request during your stay in the country.

  • Provide proof of income from the host to ensure that they are financially stable.

  • Present a letter of invitation from the child or grandchild requesting their parents/grandparents to stay in Canada.

  • Policy sum insured: CAD 10,000, CAD 25,000, CAD 50,000, CAD 100,000. CAD 200,000, CAD 300,000

  • Policy waiting period: If the plan is purchased before arrival to the country, there is no waiting period for illnesses and diseases. If purchased 60 days after arriving in the country, then there is a 48-hour waiting period. If you have purchased insurance more than 60 days after arrival into the country, there is a waiting period of seven days.
